Gentle sheet transport

Register system and gripper bars
All die cutter models are equipped with the register system. Register shafts ensure gripper bars are always positioned correctly. Gripper systems are aligned before the transport chain comes to an absolute standstill. This means that register accuracy is maintained even if the drive chains stretch. The high degree of precision attained guarantees high-speed production with consistently accurate register. Even waste pieces as small as three millimeters (0.12 inches) in diameter can be reliably stripped in the stripping station. The sheets are also always exactly placed on the grid for separating the blanks.

The moving upper platen plays a key role in ensuring the high production quality and gentle sheet transport. The sheets remain on one horizontal level throughout the machine. Other advantages of the moving upper platen are its lightweight design, high stability and the large mass of the lower platen that acts as a counterbalance, minimizing any negative effects on the rest of the machine.

In die cutters, the cutting unit is thermally separate from the gear housing. This prevents frictional heat from being transmitted to the cutting unit, thus ruling out the possibility of thermally induced deformation. Because the preset cutting pressure remains constant, there is no need for additional equipment to keep the oil temperature stable. The result: Consistently good die cutting results and low costs for energy and maintenance.
