Phoenix In-Plant Printer Achieves One Million Impressions with
Printmaster GTO 52 from Heidelberg
The in-plant government printer for the city of Phoenix, Arizona, recently surpassed one million impressions on its new two-color Printmaster GTO 52 press with perfector from Heidelberg. Purchased primarily for its perfecting capabilities, the new GTO is used to print double-sided carbonless forms, which comprise approximately 90 percent of the shop's workload.
Since its installation in January 2006, the Printmaster GTO has brought improved quality and quicker throughput to the printer. The new Printmaster GTO also enables four-color production and is used to produce brochures, training manuals and flyers.
The shop purchased a Heidelberg Consumables package with its Printmaster GTO 52, which includes Perfect Dot blankets. The in-plant printer has 22 employees.
