Large numbers of customers from across the globe met at the 4th
International Packaging Days staged by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen
AG (Heidelberg) at the end of June 2010 in Germany to get the
latest information on innovations in industrial packaging printing.
During the two-day event at the Print Media Center in Hall 11 of
the Wiesloch-Walldorf plant, the international visitors saw for
themselves a fully-integrated packaging production workflow - from
data preparation and plate production to printing, die-cutting, and
folding-carton gluing. The entire portfolio and the individual
process steps were explained in detail. At the end of the process,
Heidelberg experts analyzed the actual production data live in
front of the visitors.
The customers were split into several groups - with translation
into the relevant languages - and guided through the presentations
and product demonstrations. Heidelberg product specialists were on
hand at all times to answer questions and take part in discussions
on specific solutions for individual companies.
Highlights included the special applications on the
Speedmaster XL 105 Duo and the Speedmaster XL 75 FoilStar, followed
by product demonstrations on the Suprasetter 162, Dymatrix 106
Pro CSB, and Diana X 115. The participants were also impressed with
the live production of folding cartons on the Speedmaster XL 105-6
with coating unit.
Participating customers came from Australia, Belgium, Spain,
Norway, the United States, Denmark, Italy, Korea, Hungary, France,
Russia, Mexico, Austria, Sweden, Uruguay, Germany, Switzerland, and
the United Kingdom.
